Insurance, Fees, Billing and Hours

FEES:

If you do not have insurance or choose to pay out of pocket, for both in-person and televideo, my fees are as follows:

Initial Consultation (first appointment): $175 (45-60 minutes in person only)

Individual, Couple, Family Session: $145 (45-60 minutes in person or Televideo)

Telephone/Texting Support: Free (up to 15 minutes)

SLIDING FEE:

If you do not have insurance or choose not to use your insurance, I’d be happy to discuss a sliding fee with you.

INSURANCE:

Currently, I am only a provider for BCBS & MVP. As a provider for these insurances, I agree to accept their fees for my services.

I am not a provider for any other insurance.  If you have another insurance for which I am not a provider, you will need to pay me directly at the time of your session. I will give you a “paid” receipt for you to try to get reimbursed by your insurance company for “out of network” benefits. You will need to check with your insurance company to find out how much you will be reimbursed depending on your insurance.

COPAY:

If you have a copay, I ask that you pay your copay at the time of your session.  I accept checks, Venmo, Zelle, or cash. I also accept credit cards but you’ll have to pay the extra 3.75% charged to me by the card reader. Venmo is easiest.

If you have a deductible, I am happy to invoice your insurance company for you but you will need to pay me directly until your deductible has been met.

Cancellation Fee:

There is a $100 cancelation/no show fee (canceling with less than 24 hours notice or for not showing up for your appointment.) Your insurance will not cover a missed appointment or late cancel (less than 24 hours notice). You will be responsible for paying the cancellation fee before your next scheduled appointment unless you are able to reschedule within the same week or I am able to fill your appointment time. 

BILLING:  

I currently do my own billing. I use a billing software called My Clients Plus to submit my claims to insurance companies. This software is HIPAA compliant and all information is SSL-encrypted.  

All accounts are payable in full within 30 days after billing. I reserve the right to collect any unpaid balance due to me. If you are not making regular monthly payments on the account balance, I may use a collection agency or take legal action to secure payment, as authorized by state or federal law, and the collections action will become a part of your credit record. You will be notified in writing before I take action to collect. I reserve the right to terminate treatment and refer you elsewhere for continued care if the unpaid balance exceeds $500.00.

HOURS:

I work Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm. I’m primarily seeing clients in person. At this time I will only do a televideo session if you aren’t feeling well. All televideo sessions can be accessed through the following link: https://sessions.psychologytoday.com/Barbara-Boutsikaris
